A source said, "Asin is actively associated with various NGOs in Kerela and Chennai. She secretly visits these NGOs whenever she finds the time. She loves being actively involved with all the charity work that they do."

Asin personally looks into the disabled and the needy. "But Asin does not like to talk about all this. These things are not meant to be spoken about. She has been doing this for years now and has been a regular visitor to the various institutions in Chennai and Kerela. Being philanthropic is Asin's second nature and she puts her heart and soul in it."

Asin cares for 'Mother Nature'

Ghajini star Asin Thottumkal who is originally from Kerala is now undoubtedly one of the bollywood's most sought after actresses.

Mallu babe Asin always stays away from aerated drinks, chocolates and junk food. “In our home, sugar is called ‘white poison’. We use only gur (jaggery)” said Asin in an interview. Also, no allopathic medicines, only ayurveda for this Keralite beauty.

Meanwhile according to sources close to the actress, Asin has started to promote the need to save Mother Nature in her blogs. “Situation is very bad these days and everyone should contribute to save the environment”, says Asin.

Asin loves Bungee jumping

Bungee Jump, yeah it's the same thing that tamil actor Vijay did in a song for the movie Khushi(tamil version). Asin is said to be an ardent fan of the particular sport activity.

When Asin was in Macau recently for an award function, got to know about bungee jumping and she wanted to do. However, she was not allowed to bungee jump because she had an injured foot that she had hurt while learning Kalari in Kerela.
