Romantic Asin with Vijay in Pune

Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s Siddique directed Kaavalan was expected to release for Diwali, but the film is yet to be completed. It is likely to be a Christmas release.

The latest from the Kaavalan team is that Vijay and Asin have just returned from Lavasa, near Pune, where the song was canned recently. Lavasa is a picturesque location and is the first planned hill city in India where a Tamil film has been shot for the first time.

Sources say that it is the chemistry that the lead actors share in the film that is USP of ‘Kavalan’ and everyone associated with the upcoming flick is sure of the fact that the romantic number shot in Lavasa will top all music charts in the country. Dinesh, who has choreographed the song was very pleased with the performances of Vijay and Asin to the romantic number.

Asin denies shooting intimate scene with Salman

As per the recently made-up news, Asin has a steamy scene with Salman in the film and has finally let go off her imagination. The fact though is that this is far away from being true.

"I am rather amused to hear this because I haven't shot any steamy scene with Salman in Ready," said Asin.

With the lady at the hot seat going on the records about her act in the film, there is of course no room for any more speculation or rumour. "To think of it, the speculation by itself stands on a flimsy ground," smiles Asin.

She continues, "Ready is a family entertainer. Now tell me, where would such a scene feature in it in any case? It's really weird that someone actually thought of bringing out such news for a movie like this where there is no scope for such a sequence in any case."

What is DIWALI for Asin

Quiz Asin about how she spends the day of Diwali (Deepavali), she says, "I get to indulge in family time."

"When you say Diwali, the first thing that comes to my mind is only new film releases. I literally had a blast on Diwali for three consecutive years in Kollywood when my films got released during this special occasion. I had rocking Diwalis when Sivakasi with Vijay, Varalaaru with Ajith and Vel with Suriya were huge blockbusters. This year also though my film Kaavalan with Vijay could not make it for Diwali, plans are on to release it in December.

On the personal front, this is the time to make that time for friends and family. This is the time to strengthen bonds and despite being in Kerala with family, where the festival isn’t celebrated with as much fervour, I ensure we indulge in good food and no calorie worries, humour and re-collect our good times together.

Ushering in the phase of more prosperity, I can only say I look forward to all my big assignments in Bollywood. In fact as I get busier I reflect on the cinema that I take up and Diwali as they say helps one to cast a fresh light, in my case perspective," Asin declares proudly.
