Asin praised for READY

Anees Bazmee’s Ready, which has been shot in several locations including Thailand and Colombo, has Salman Khan and Asin Thottumkal in lead roles.

The movie went on the floors in December last year and is slated for release on June 3, a record for a Salman Khan film.

Salman Khan is full of praises for his co-star Asin. With their upcoming film “Ready” all set for June 2011 release, Salman has gone a step further and compared Asin to Madhuri Dixit.

The Dabangg actor said, "It’s a family entertainer, and there’s everything good about the movie, including an ideal woman just like Madhuri in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. In ‘Ready’ it’s Asin."

The duo had earlier worked together in London Dreams and is presently working together in Ready. Their chemistry has reportedly come out very well on-screen according to the director and the unit.

Director Anees Bazmee also joined Salman in showering some praise on the actress. According to the filmmaker, who has directed her in her forthcoming film READY, "Asin is a surprise package. I was bowled over by her acting prowess and she comes worth such lucidity on screen that you cannot stop admiring her."

Bikini and Liplock - Asin clears the air

Ready is only two months away from release but it is definitely one of the most awaited films of 2011. After all, it brings the hit combination of Salman Khan and Anees Bazmee, years after No Entry.

Also, it would be the third Bollywood outing for Asin who waited to sign a new film after Ghajini and London Dreams.

However, the lady in question found herself in the news for all the wrong reasons, after a rumour hit headlines across the web. As per this, Asin has a steamy scene with Salman in the film and has finally let go off her imagination. The fact though is that this is far away from being true.

Reports have been making the rounds in some section of the media that Asin will be donning a bikini in Housefull and doing a steamy kissing scene with Salman in Ready. Completely miffed by such false news Asin chose to react and clear the air.

The multi-lingual actress said, "I am amused by these rumors which I noticed on the internet and some people have copied it to their newspapers. I am glad people who know me do not believe in such trash. There are no steamy scenes or kiss in ‘Ready’. It is a family entertainer for God’s sake! And sorry to disappoint you, the bikini news is someone’s fertile imagination and not the truth."

Ready is hitting the screens on June 3. The soft-spoken Asin explains that though the story is very much the same (of the Telugu original), it has been adapted to suit the northern audiences, their family system, their character portrayal but there is no steamy scenes like the media had portrayed and is a completely family rom-com.

Asin about her marriage

News about Salman- Asin marriage had been the highlight topic of Bollywood, by the end of last year (2010). Reports even claimed that Asin's parents tried to dissuade their daughter from going ahead with the marriage.

Yes, it was Asin's on-screen marriage with Salman Khan for Anees Bazmi's "Ready" that stirred quite a sensation. Asin's comment was: I'm enjoying the joke.

Knowing she'll be miffed, still one can't stop asking her that question..when is she getting married? "Oh, no..don't ask me that. My focus is on my career, in the process of working if I find the right guy I will not hesitate to reveal," she says a tad irritatedly.

Asin definitely wants to do something that sends a powerful message first and wants to be remembered for the right reasons other than marriage.

Asin is not seeing Neil Nitin Mukesh

Bollywood actor Neil Nitin Mukesh was often spotted with the Ghajini fame Kerala gifted Asin, and it as usual led to gossips making rounds. When asked whether the rumours about their affair is true, here comes what the charming actress had to say:

"Rubbish! Neil is a very good friend. We meet, have dinners and chat, that doesn’t mean we are going around. I guess these gossip mongers have forgotten about a term called ‘friend’. If I am seeing someone I will happily acknowledge it. Isn’t finding a great partner something to be happy about rather than hiding it?" she retorts.

Is Asin becoming highly insecure these days? A Mumbai tabloid has reported that she recently got into a heated argument with her hair stylist and yelled at her. The reason - The actress fears being deliberately sabotaged by her rivals who wanted her to look ugly!!

Recently there were also reports of Asin being insecure about her position in Bollywood. "Insecure and me? Such stories make me laugh. I am the last person on this earth to be insecure as an actor or as an individual. I am very happy and content in my space," she says.
